1. Izu Fruit Park – 30-Minute All-You-Can-Eat Strawberry Picking (January–May)

Address: 181-1 Tsukahara Shinden, Mishima City, Shizuoka
Official Website: https://izupa.orepa.jp/

The tour begins at Izu Fruit Park, a well-known fruit facility in the Izu area.

From January to May, visitors can participate in a 30-minute all-you-can-eat strawberry picking session inside greenhouses. Because the strawberries are grown indoors, the experience is generally not heavily affected by weather conditions.

Izu is recognized as a strawberry-producing region in Japan. Visitors can taste freshly ripened strawberries on site.

Main strawberry varieties may include:

  • Benihoppe
  • Yayoi Hime
  • Akihime
  • Kaorino
  • Kenshiro

Each variety differs in sweetness, acidity, fruit size, texture, and aroma.

The facility also includes a local specialty market where visitors can purchase regional products. Seasonal desserts made with fresh fruit are available, and limited-time items may appear depending on the season.

Strawberry picking may be upgradeable on site.
If weather conditions are severe, the experience may be replaced with a special gift.

2. Shuzenji Nature Park & Shuzenji Onsen – Historic Hot Spring Area in Izu

Location: Shuzenji, Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture

The tour continues to Shuzenji Onsen, a hot spring town with more than 1,200 years of history. Many Japanese travelers describe the area as “Little Kyoto of Izu” because of its traditional atmosphere.

Shuzenji Nature Park

Cherry trees line the park roads, and visitors may see weeping cherry blossoms (shidare-zakura) and wild mountain cherry blossoms (yamazakura) during spring. The park offers a quieter cherry blossom viewing experience compared to major cities.

Bamboo Forest Path (Chikurin no Komichi)

A bamboo-lined walkway approximately 200 m long runs along the Katsura River. Visitors can walk through the shaded path and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the area.

Hot Spring Bathing & Japanese Set Lunch

Participants will enjoy a Japanese-style set meal and a hot spring bathing experience at a traditional ryokan (Japanese inn).

An onsen is a natural mineral hot spring bath. In Japan, bathing customs generally include:

  • Guests bathe without swimwear.
  • Guests wash their bodies before entering the bath.

The hot spring water in Shuzenji is often described as gentle and relaxing after walking.

Important Notes:

  • Please bring your own towel for bathing.
  • If you have tattoos, please confirm acceptance policies at the time of booking, as some facilities may have restrictions.
  • Bathing arrangements follow the facility’s daily guidelines.

This part of the tour includes transportation, lunch, hot spring access, and guide service.

Address: 91-23 Sasahara, Kawazu Town, Shizuoka
